What Happens After You Hit Send: A Look At What Working With Us Actually Looks Like

We know. You've been staring at the inquiry form for a little while now. Maybe you've typed something out, deleted it, started over... because booking a photographer and videographer feels like a big deal (and it kind of is).

This isn't a "just" kind of purchase. You're investing in the only thing from your wedding day that stays with you forever; the moments, the feelings, the people who were there. Turned into something you can hold, revisit, and someday show your kids.

So yeah. It's a big decision (we get that) and we want you to know exactly what happens after you hit send... so nothing about this process feels scary or uncertain.

First things first: the inquiry

Our inquiry form is simple and straightforward. We ask for the basics; your date, your location, your fiancé's name. There's also a spot to tell us more about yourselves if you want to... and we love when people use it, because it helps us get a feel for who you are before we even talk.

Once we receive your inquiry, we check our availability and take a look at what you've shared.

If we're not available, we don't just leave you hanging. We send over a list of photographers we trust completely (people we'd send our own family to) because finding the right photographer matters, even if it's not us.

If we are available... let's talk.

The consultation: no pressure, just a conversation

We'll reach out to schedule a consultation on the phone, Zoom, or in person, whatever works best for you. It's a conversation about your wedding, your love story, and what you're hoping to walk away with. We want to understand your vision so we can figure out how to best serve you... and honestly, so we can make sure we're a good fit for each other. This works both ways.

The proposal: built for you, not copied from a template

By the end of your consultation, we'll put together an individualized proposal; not a generic package menu, but something built around your specific day and needs. Yes, we have collections, but we get that every wedding day is different and we can usually make a proposal that hits the mark.

You'll also receive a detailed contract that spells out exactly what's included, what isn't, and what you can expect from us and us from you. No surprises, no fine print you have to squint at.

From there, a deposit locks in your date and makes it official. Sign the contract, pay the deposit, and you're booked. That's it.

Once you're booked: the good stuff begins

This is where things get fun. We'll send you a get-to-know-you questionnaire because we genuinely want to know more about you as people, not just as clients. You'll also get access to your own private client portal, which acts as your home base for everything wedding related. Contract, gallery, design proofs, invoices, all of it in one place so nothing gets lost in an email thread somewhere.

There's a second payment due six months before your wedding, and then around three or four months out we kick into high gear. We send out a detailed questionnaire covering your day's timeline, your vendors, and any special requests. Then we get on a call to go through all of it together; family names, any dynamics we should be aware of, special moments you want us to make sure we catch.

We build a custom photo timeline from all of this so that on your wedding day, everyone knows exactly where they need to be and when. If you're working with a planner, we'll loop them in too, because nobody should be surprised on your wedding day.

A week before the wedding we do a final check in to make sure nothing has changed. 

Wedding day: we're all yours

Our team shows up ready to work. We're collaborative, flexible, and focused entirely on you. Our approach is simple; do whatever needs doing to make sure you have an incredible experience and incredible photos and video to show for it.

After the wedding: the part worth waiting for

Post production takes up to six weeks. We know that feels like forever when you're dying to see your photos... but good editing takes time and we're not cutting corners on the most important images of your life.

When everything is ready, we don't just send you a link. We schedule an image reveal to walk through your gallery and where we show you how to access everything to make sure you feel completely taken care of. We'll also talk about printed works; albums, wall art, the things that turn your gallery into something you actually live with rather than a folder on your phone you forget to open.

And then... you have them. Forever.
