Nestled between Greensboro and Asheboro lies a rustic and endearing barn-lovers venue. On their website, Millikan Farms boasts that “Your wedding day at Millikan Farms will be different from any other because it is your day to whatever you want!” Not only was the wedding venue ready to cater to Kassie and Keaton’s every wish, but Mother Nature was on board too. The gorgeous mid-October day arrived with a sunny glow and a touch of cool breeze. 

When we first arrived, we met our bride, Kassie, in her bridal quarters. Her laid-back demeanor and friendly smile put everyone around her at ease. As she slipped into her lace mermaid gown, her future husband was across the way drinking a cold beer with his guys. Keaton’s laugh could be heard across the way. His fun and boisterous personality were contagious. Like Kassie, he put everyone around him at ease. Dream clients! 

When it was go-time, Kassie and Keaton’s favorite people gathered inside the red barn. Romantic white lights hung from the arched ceilings as Kassie and Keaton were married. After the barn was filled with the sound of applause, guests mingled out to the reception. One of our favorite aspects of Millikan Farms is the flexibility, spaciousness, and inclusivity of the venue. Kassie and Keaton were able to host their guests on one property with ease for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. As wedding photographers, we highly recommend this! Guests can relax with a cocktail, enjoy exploring the venue and save up their energy for the dance floor. Who wouldn’t want that experience for their special family and friends?!

Before the party got underway, the sun started setting and gave us some beautiful colors as a parting gift. As wedding photographers, we love a good sunset! Gratefully, Kassie and Keaton had carved out time in their schedule for golden hour portraits. Score!

One of the best memories from the day was when a dear friend partook in some spontaneous karaoke, serenading Kassie and Keaton.  It was both a hilarious and endearing way to end a fabulous wedding.
