Great Gift Ideas for your Spouse on Wedding Day

Selecting just the right special something to gift your soon-to-be spouse on the wedding day isn’t always as easy as you’d think. Sure, you know this person really well and you love them dearly, but sometimes it feels like nothing is quite “right” or “perfect” for the occasion. Here are a few gift ideas to get you started if you’re feeling stumped:

1) Little Gifts Throughout the Day

Have their favorite coffee delivered, send flowers, have handwritten love notes arriving throughout the day – small gestures can have a big impact in letting your fiancé know they are on your mind.

2) A Handkerchief

Whether it’s a special design or a sentimental saying, a handkerchief is a great wedding day gift, and perfect for drying all of those happy tears!

3) Special Items for the Honeymoon

Get matching flip flops or swimsuits for your beach getaway, a new digital camera to capture memories on a special excursion, or some really great new sunglasses to wear while you have fun in the sun.

4) Personalized Accessories

A special new bracelet, sweater, cufflinks, tie clip – anything that can be useful on wedding day and beyond, really – make phenomenal gifts. Every time they wear those monogrammed cufflinks you picked just for them, they’ll have that little reminder of the wedding day and all of the love that encompassed.

5) A Signature Scent

Scent is a very powerful memory trigger! If your love is into fragrance, get them one of their favorites to enjoy on wedding day and beyond.

6) Luxury Bath Products

I cannot think of a single person who wouldn’t be into a relaxing soak with their partner, and it’s a terrific way of saying “relax, because you’re worth it.”

7) A Gift Certificate or Passes to a Special Activity

Has your fiancé always wanted to go take cooking classes or go hang gliding? Start your married life off jumping into something new and exciting together.

8) Personalized Drinkware

Engraved or personalized drinkware is a classic gift because it’s something that can be used for many years to come. Get drinkware that goes with their favorite beverages to ensure maximum use!

9) A Special Album of Sexy Pictures

Speak with your photographer about doing a boudoir (or dudeoir!) shoot and making a special album just for your honey. Because really, who wouldn’t want this as a gift from their future spouse?

10) A Handmade Scrapbook

Pictures, notes, ticket stubs, and more – compile small treasures that tell your love story to remember what brought you both from that first glance to “I do.”

11) A 'Bucket List' Book

Make a book of all of the things you want to do, see, try, and experience with your love. Then, enjoy the excitement of accomplishing a shared “Bucket List” together with a person you love and care for deeply.

12) Creative Artwork

Begin decorating your new forever right away with an art piece. Whether it’s a custom made design or a framed copy of your favorite print, it’s something that you both can share every day.

13) 'Open When...' Letters

Make a series of letters that your spouse will get to open at some of the big milestones in your lives together (Open On Our First Anniversary, Open On Your 40th Birthday, Open When We Buy Our First Home, Open When We Have Our First Ridiculously Huge Married People Fight, etc.). It’s hard to know where life will take us, but thinking about the future and excitedly moving towards it is a great way to begin a marriage.

14) A Personalized Journal

Start your future spouse off with the first entry – the story of how you first met from your perspective, a list of reasons why you love them, or a note to say how excited you are to be married to them are a few ideas in case you have writer’s block!
