About the Venue

Historic Charm Meets Modern Industrial Elegance

In the heart of downtown Kernersville — centrally positioned between Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and High Point at the geographic center of the Triad — The Event at Two Ten occupies a beautifully reimagined historic space where the building's bones have been honored rather than hidden. Soaring ceilings. Exposed brick walls. Polished concrete floors. The industrial character that the building accumulated across its history is now the aesthetic foundation of one of the most distinctive wedding venues in the Triad — warm and welcoming rather than cold, sophisticated rather than stark.

What makes The Event at Two Ten genuinely stand out in the Kernersville and broader Triad market is the combination of architectural character, thoughtful design layering, and a flexibility that reviewers consistently praise as the venue's defining practical advantage. The exposed brick fireplace anchors the main space with warmth and drama. Industrial chandeliers hang from the soaring ceiling. White ceiling draping softens and romanticizes the raw industrial bones. Adjustable lighting lets couples set the exact mood they want. And the Parisian courtyard — with its central fountain and garden seating — extends the celebration into a completely different visual environment just steps from the main hall.

Venue manager Holly Gooch — with over 20 years of corporate event planning experience — is on-site throughout every event and consistently earns the kind of praise that makes couples feel the planning process was the easiest part of their entire wedding. At $3,999 for a 12-hour rental with 200 Chiavari chairs included, The Event at Two Ten delivers exceptional value within the Triad market.

The Spaces

Ballroom, Mezzanine, Courtyard, & Bridal Suite

The Event at Two Ten's spaces each carry a distinct visual character and a distinct role in the natural flow of the wedding day — from the bridal suite's intimate exposed brick getting-ready environment to the mezzanine's elevated cocktail hour perspective to the courtyard's Parisian outdoor setting to the main ballroom's dramatic industrial reception grandeur.

  • The Main Ballroom

The heart of The Event at Two Ten — a soaring, open event space defined by its industrial-chic DNA: exposed brick walls, polished concrete floors that catch and reflect light, high ceilings with white romantic draping that softens the raw industrial architecture into something warm and elegant simultaneously. Industrial-style chandeliers provide layered overhead light. The exposed brick fireplace anchors one wall with warmth and visual drama — one of the most striking interior architectural features at any Triad venue. The adjustable lighting system allows the ballroom to shift from bright and airy for daytime ceremonies to warm and intimate for evening receptions without any physical changes to the space. The layout accommodates a wide range of configurations for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions, with the venue's 200 gold Chiavari chairs available for all setups.

    Flexible capacity
  • The Mezzanine Loft

An elevated mezzanine space above the main ballroom — the venue's cocktail hour destination and one of its most photographically interesting architectural features. The mezzanine's elevated position creates natural overview angles for documentary coverage of the main floor below during cocktail hour and room flip, and its railing provides a foreground frame for wide-angle images that communicate the full vertical scale of the space. Couples who use the mezzanine for cocktail hour consistently note that the elevated vantage point and the view back down into the decorated main ballroom creates a visual reveal moment for guests that builds genuine excitement for the reception.

Cocktail hour & elevated portrait angles
  • The Parisian Courtyard

The venue's signature outdoor space — a charming brick courtyard described by reviewers as "Parisian" for its architectural intimacy and the central fountain that anchors it with gentle water movement and a distinctly European character. The courtyard accommodates outdoor ceremonies, cocktail hours, and portrait sessions with natural outdoor light and the fountain as a backdrop element. For photographers, the courtyard's fountain creates portrait images with a distinctive, place-specific quality — the sound and movement of the water contribute to a genuinely relaxed couple energy that produces more authentic portrait expressions than purely static environments.

  • The Bridal Suite

A dedicated bridal getting-ready suite with exposed brick walls as a natural portrait backdrop — one of the most photographically distinctive getting-ready environments at any Triad venue. The exposed brick's texture and warmth create a visual depth and character in getting-ready portraits that standard hotel suite walls cannot provide. Reviewers praise the bridal suite for its comfort, natural light, and the way it complements the venue's overall industrial-chic aesthetic so seamlessly that the getting-ready gallery feels like a natural extension of the wedding day's visual story rather than an afterthought.

  • The Groom's Room & On-Site Airbnb

A dedicated groom's preparation space provides both partners with their own getting-ready environment on-site. The on-site Airbnb — bookable alongside the venue — allows the wedding party to arrive the night before, prepare on-site the morning of the wedding, and stay overnight after the reception, creating a hotel-weekend experience without leaving the venue property. For photographers, this overnight accommodation option creates morning-after portrait opportunities in the venue's beautiful spaces with no guests or event logistics present.

Why Photographers Love This Venue

The Event at Two Ten is exceptional for wedding photography because it layers multiple light sources and architectural textures in a way that creates naturally interesting images at every time of day. Large windows pool natural light across the polished concrete floors during the day, creating soft, reflective coverage conditions that eliminate harsh shadows. The industrial chandeliers add warm overhead ambient light as the evening progresses. The adjustable lighting system allows color temperature and intensity to be tuned to match the photographer's preferred working conditions. And the exposed brick fireplace provides a warm, localized light source for portrait sessions that creates dimensional, atmospheric images unlike anything achievable in a space without this feature.

The polished concrete floors deserve specific mention as a photographic asset. Concrete floors with a high polish reflect overhead and window light upward, creating a natural fill light source that eliminates the harsh shadow-under-chin problem that matte floors and carpet create. Wide-angle reception images at Two Ten benefit from this floor reflection in a way that makes the space appear brighter, more open, and more photogenic than its square footage alone would suggest.

Outside, the Parisian courtyard's fountain and brick surroundings create an outdoor portrait environment with genuine architectural character — more specific and visually interesting than a standard garden or lawn space, and distinctive enough that courtyard portraits from Two Ten are immediately identifiable in a portfolio context.

Best Photo Spots by Time of Day

The Event at Two Ten's combination of a layered industrial interior, elevated mezzanine, Parisian courtyard, and exposed brick bridal suite gives us a strong range of portrait and documentary environments. Here's how we approach coverage:

Morning · Getting Ready

  • Bridal suite exposed brick portraits
  • Groom's room candid coverage
  • Window natural light detail shots
  • Empty ballroom setup & décor details

Ceremony & Cocktail Hour

  • Parisian courtyard fountain ceremony
  • Main ballroom indoor ceremony
  • Mezzanine cocktail hour coverage
  • Courtyard couple portraits

Evening · Reception

  • Fireplace warm-light portraits

The exposed brick fireplace is the interior portrait priority at every Two Ten wedding. The warm, dimensional light it provides — combined with the textured brick surround and the venue's overall industrial palette — creates couple portrait images with a depth and atmospheric quality that is difficult to achieve at venues without this specific architectural feature. We protect time at the fireplace during cocktail hour for portraits, and the resulting images consistently stand out in the gallery.

Our Experience Here

Brian Anthony Photography at The Event at Two Ten

Venues managed by experienced event professionals with genuine personal investment in every wedding they host create a distinctly more organized and relaxed working environment for photographers. Holly Gooch's 20+ years of corporate event planning experience, combined with her evident care for each couple she works with, means that every timeline element is coordinated, every vendor transition is smooth, and every logistical detail is handled before it becomes a problem. When venue management is this reliable, photographers can focus entirely on making beautiful images rather than navigating uncertainty.

With over 1,000 weddings photographed and filmed, our approach is rooted in documentary storytelling — capturing authentic moments as they naturally unfold while building the intentional portrait work that takes full advantage of what the venue offers. At The Event at Two Ten, that means using the bridal suite brick for getting-ready portraits, protecting the courtyard fountain during cocktail hour, and letting the fireplace anchor the evening's most atmospheric portrait session.

For couples getting married at The Event at Two Ten, we build a custom wedding day timeline around the venue's spaces, the adjustable lighting transitions, and your guest count — so you get the most out of every environment the venue offers without feeling rushed between them.
