When couples ask us for trusted recommendations during the wedding planning process, one name we consistently come back to is Fallen In Love in High Point, North Carolina. As a photography and videography team at Brian Anthony Photography + Videography, we have seen firsthand how much the right dress and the right experience can shape a bride’s confidence, energy, and overall wedding day presence.
Fallen In Love is not simply a place to shop for a gown -- it is a boutique built around intention, connection, and the belief that every bride deserves to feel incredible in her own skin. That philosophy aligns perfectly with how we approach capturing weddings, which is why this partnership feels so natural.
Every great brand starts with purpose, and Fallen In Love is no exception. As they shared, “Fallen In Love was created out of a desire to make women feel beautiful on the most special day of their lives.”
Fallen In Love Bridal and Formal was founded by Sara and MaryBeth; between them, they bring more than 25 years of customer service experience, including 15 years dedicated specifically to the bridal and formal industry. Their backgrounds in education, marketing, and business inform the way they approach every appointment with patience, preparation, and a real commitment to listening.
The name Fallen In Love isn’t just a feeling they want every client to experience, it’s also a tribute. Each letter in Fallen In Love represents a woman in Sara and MaryBeth’s lives: their daughters, mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers. Family is the foundation of this boutique, and they want every bride who walks through the door to feel like part of the Fallen In Love family from the first appointment to the final fitting.
That mission is more than just a statement. It is woven into every interaction, every appointment, and every detail of the boutique experience. With backgrounds in business, marketing, and education, the founders created a space that feels equal parts elevated and welcoming, where brides are not rushed or pressured, but instead guided with care.
At the heart of Fallen In Love is a philosophy that feels both timeless and incredibly necessary in today’s bridal world.
“Every woman deserves to feel genuinely beautiful when she finds her wedding gown, regardless of her size, shape, or age.”
They went on to share "One of our first brides was a 70 year old widow who fell in love for a second time and did not have a wedding first time so she did everything this time. She will always have a special place in our hearts."
This mindset shifts the focus away from trends or expectations and brings it back to the individual. It allows brides to feel seen, supported, and celebrated, which ultimately leads to more authentic moments, both during the shopping process and on the wedding day itself.
From the very beginning, Fallen In Love sets the tone for a thoughtful and personalized experience. They explained that it starts with “communication and relationship building before the appointment to get to know the bride, her vision for the big day, and her expectations for her dream dress.” By the time a bride arrives, her stylist already has a clear understanding of her aesthetic and priorities. The result is an appointment that feels seamless and intentional, where each gown serves a purpose and aligns with the bigger picture of the wedding.
In an industry that can often feel crowded and overwhelming, Fallen In Love has chosen a different path, one that prioritizes quality over quantity and experience over volume. As they put it simply, “All clients receive personal styling in a one on one setting in a private suite.”
This level of personalization creates an environment where brides can slow down and truly be present. There is no competing for attention, no distractions, and no pressure to rush decisions. Instead, each appointment becomes an experience that feels curated, calm, and deeply personal. From our perspective as wedding photographers, this kind of experience often translates directly into confidence in front of the camera, which is everything on a wedding day.
One of the biggest advantages of working with Fallen In Love is their full service approach. Rather than sending brides to multiple vendors, they guide them through the entire journey in one place. As they described, they are a “full service boutique” that follows “the entire journey (gown selection, accessories, alterations and big day pressings and pick up)… bridesmaid dresses, mothers of the wedding, men’s wear and the little ones.”
This kind of continuity not only simplifies planning but also ensures that every detail feels cohesive. For couples working with Brian Anthony Photography + Videography, this level of consistency often shows up beautifully in the final gallery, where every element feels intentional and aligned.
The bridal landscape has changed dramatically in recent years, and not always for the better. Fallen In Love spoke candidly about this shift, noting, “More product in an over saturated market with low quality gowns mixed with low quality service which is giving the industry a poor reputation.” With the rise of online shopping and social media inspiration, many brides enter the process already overwhelmed. This often leads to what they call the “white haze,” described as “over thinking the process… seeing too many gowns and losing sight of their vision.”
Their approach is to gently guide brides back to what matters most. “Keep the vision in mind… a personal stylist can help a bride see this whole picture of the wedding while keeping brides vision and personal style at the center.”
Timing plays a crucial role in creating a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Fallen In Love recommends starting early, sharing, “12 to 18 months before the big day to allow plenty of time to not feel rushed… 6 to 8 months for gown to arrive if ordered plus 6 to 8 weeks minimum for alterations.”
This timeline allows brides to make thoughtful decisions without the added pressure of tight deadlines, something we always encourage our couples to prioritize.
While trends and logistics matter, what truly defines Fallen In Love is the emotional impact of their work. One story they shared stands out as a beautiful reminder of why this industry exists in the first place.
“One of our first brides was a 70 year old widow who fell in love for a second time and did not have a wedding first time so she did everything this time.”
Moments like this are a reflection of what they believe at their core. As they said, “It means everything to us… being in the wedding industry is unique because yes it’s about sales but it is rooted in love.”
When it comes to trends, Fallen In Love has a clear pulse on what is coming next. They are currently seeing basqued waists, sheer lace, and blusher veils gaining popularity among modern brides.
At the same time, they are ready to move on from certain styles, sharing that “the extreme exaggerated hips on ballgowns like Bridgerton are a little much.”
Regionally, they noted that “NC tends to follow the west coast and northeast on trends… a few months later,” which is helpful context for brides planning weddings in the Triad and beyond.
Budgeting for a wedding dress can be one of the most confusing parts of the process, especially with so much misinformation online. Fallen In Love offers refreshing honesty in this area.
They explain, “Reputable designers will not post pricing online; however, the gowns will be duplicated by others repeatedly for significantly lower costs with lower quality fabric, construction, and design elements. A high quality designer gown will start at $1000 for a simple gown. If you add in lace, beadwork, elements like pleats, or other designs, the costs will continue to increase. Fabric type can be a cost difference. Some designers offer the same gown in several different fabrics which can vary the costs as well. A realistic budget for a bride who wants a quality gown that can become an heirloom in the future with alterations should budget at least $5000 just for the gown and veil. If you are looking for a couture look, then you will need to budget much more."
They also highlight the often overlooked expenses, noting, “Hidden costs are what we think of as the items that are needed but forgotten. Alterations on a bridal gown can vary tremendously based on what city and state you are in. The budget should always be between $800 to $1000 for basic alterations of a hem, bustle, and bodice adjustment. If you are adding customizations, then ask for estimates before the work begins. Accessories like veil, hair pieces, jewelry, and shoes are needed for the big day. Another expense is the pressing of the gown for portraits or big day. Preservation and cleaning after the wedding will be needed."
Having this clarity upfront allows brides to plan confidently and avoid unnecessary stress later in the process.
At Fallen in Love, the average dress in their store is $1800-$2000, with their most expensive gown currently costing $3500.
For brides who find themselves torn between options or unsure of their decision, their advice is both simple and powerful.
“Close your eyes and think about how you want your fiance to see you at the end of the aisle. Which dress are you in?”
And if clarity does not come immediately, that is okay. “Some brides need to sleep on it and wake up fresh with a clean slate… the ‘white haze’ is real.”
In the excitement of wedding planning, it is easy to move quickly from one task to the next. Fallen In Love encourages brides to pause and soak in the moment.
“Take some time to enjoy the experience to be in the moment and celebrate with your loved ones.”
It is a reminder that these milestones deserve to be felt, not rushed.
At the end of the day, the reason we continue to recommend Fallen In Love is simple. They care deeply about their brides, and it shows in every interaction. Their commitment to personalization, transparency, and genuine connection creates an experience that translates beautifully into the wedding day itself.
When a bride feels confident and supported, it changes everything, from how she walks down the aisle to how she shows up in her photos and films.
