Katherine and Jason are one of those couples that totally click (pun intended) - and their wedding day was just like that, filled with joy, love, and definitely laughter. One of the first things I noticed about them as a couple was that they love to laugh, and approach everything in life (fun and challenges alike) with grace and humor. It's funny to think that a chance meeting in the mailroom led to this once in a lifetime romance, and I'm so lucky to have gotten the chance to be a part of their love story.  

At The Kimpton Cardinal Hotel in Winston-Salem, there is no shortage of amazing spaces, breathtaking views, and an overall awesome atmosphere. It's a great venue to photograph because there is so much of the beautiful art deco style, plus some really cool modern additions, so it was hard to stop taking photographs! The ceremony was heartfelt, and the vows reflected the couple's sensibilities and focus on love and commitment to supporting and cherishing one another, and their enthusiasm and excitement to be starting their forever together. One of the things that stuck with me was their use of a poem by Emily Dickinson, which notes that "Forever - is composed of nows" - it was definitely a beautiful moment.

Then, the celebration began! DJ Ron X from Jus Buggin Productions kept the dance floor packed, and everyone was able to kick back, relax, and enjoy the party! I think my absolute favorite moment from the reception was watching Katherine & Jason share a piece of the funfetti layer of their wedding cake (a stunning and delicious design by Christina's Dessertery). I mean, who doesn't love funfetti? And I'm pretty sure everyone cried during the tender moments of the parent dances. The night ended with a really neat ribbon-twirling sendoff which, like Katherine & Jason, was full of color, joy, and excitement!
