Rewind Twenty-One Years…

Amber was back in middle school, sitting at her wood desk and doodling on paper when a cute boy caught her eye. Ryan was the cutest boy she had ever seen. And she was instantly smitten. Luckily, Ryan was just as smitten with Amber. These two dated for a middle school record of three months. Then on the dreadful day of May 3, 2000, Ryan walked another girl to her locker while carrying her books. Amber was heartbroken. This long-term relationship was over! 

Fast Forward Nine Years…

With all the middle school negativities forgotten, Ryan and Amber reunited in Charlotte to catch up. After high school and college years had passed, these two had a lot to chat about. After that fateful reunion, they never said goodbye again.

Fast Forward Ten Years…

Amber and Ryan were vacationing in New Orleans with their friends. It was a fun weekend away with their favorite people. Little did Amber know that Ryan had orchestrated a big proposal. The group planned to take a photograph together in the hotel foyer. Slowly, the group decreased until it was just Amber and Ryan. In the presence of their friends, Ryan stated, "It was on this day 19 years ago (5/3/2000), you broke up with me in the 8th grade…" He then got on his knee and asked Amber to be his girlfriend for the rest of their lives. And the rest was history!
