Just outside Greensboro, where Randolph County's rolling countryside opens up into 500 private acres of pasture, mature trees, and open sky, sits Adaumont Farm — a property that photographers consistently describe as one of the most visually extraordinary venues they work in anywhere in the Triad. It is a working farm: horses and Black Angus cattle still roam the rolling fields, the original barn has been transformed rather than replaced, and the covered bridge crossing the creek has been preserved because some things are simply irreplaceable. That authenticity — the sense that this place has been genuinely alive for decades rather than assembled for events — is what makes Adaumont Farm's photographs feel different from those taken at purpose-built venues.
The estate combines two visual registers that rarely coexist at the same property. The natural working-farm landscape — open pastures, roaming animals, a 30-acre lake, a covered bridge, towering mature trees — produces portraits with a cinematic, pastoral quality. The 25,000-square-foot renovated barn — with antique chandeliers, rich wooden paneling, white drapery, and a mezzanine — produces reception images that are elegant, warm, and deeply interior in character. Moving between these two environments across a single wedding day creates galleries with a range that few Triad venues can match.
With a 4.8-star WeddingWire rating across 48 reviews, flexible event packages for full-day weddings, elopements, and intimate celebrations, and pricing starting at $6,500, Adaumont Farm serves the full range of couples who value privacy, natural beauty, and the irreplaceable character of a genuine working farm.

A Working Farm, Transformed into Something Extraordinary
Adaumont Farm's event spaces move across genuinely different visual registers — from the soft, open light of the lakeside ceremony pergola to the warm interior grandeur of the converted barn to the intimate woodland character of the covered bridge. Each space has been kept or created with a clear understanding of what makes it distinctly photogenic, and together they produce galleries with a range that single-environment venues simply cannot match.

Outdoor ceremonies, any size
The Lakeside Pergola — Wheatmore Pond
The estate's signature ceremony site — a rustic arbor on a stone patio at the edge of Wheatmore Pond, festooned in elegant white drapes, with the calm water stretching out behind the couple as they exchange vows. Reviewers and photographers consistently single out this ceremony location as one of the most naturally beautiful in the Triad: the lake reflection, the open sky, the white-draped arbor, and the rolling farm fields visible in every direction create ceremony images with a sweeping, cinematic quality that feels genuinely destination-worthy. The stone patio and lakeside setting are also the primary golden hour portrait location on the estate.

First look & couple portraits
The Covered Bridge
Perhaps the most celebrated individual feature on the Adaumont Farm property — and one of the most widely praised first look and couple portrait locations at any venue in the Triad. The covered bridge spans the creek on a wooded section of the estate, creating an intimate, shaded portrait environment that photographs with a distinctly romantic, literary quality — the kind of image that does not look like it was taken at a managed event venue, but rather at an undiscovered countryside location. Photographers who work at Adaumont Farm consistently cite the covered bridge as the portrait priority of the day, and couples who see their bridge images for the first time routinely describe them as their favorites from the entire wedding. It is genuinely irreplaceable — there is no manufactured version of this at any other Triad venue.

Up to 600 guests
The Barn — 25,000 Square Feet
A former horse barn transformed into one of the most spacious and visually impressive reception venues in the Triad. The barn's 25,000 square feet accommodate up to 600 guests with room for a full seated dinner, a generous dance floor, and the kind of open interior scale that makes wide-angle reception images feel genuinely grand. Antique chandeliers suspended from the original structure cast warm, layered ambient light throughout the space. Rich wooden paneling and exposed beams add texture and depth to every frame. White drapery softens and brightens the interior, creating the soft, ethereal quality that makes reception images feel romantic rather than industrial. A mezzanine overlooking the main floor creates elevated portrait and documentary angles available at very few barn venues of any scale. Two kitchens, bathrooms, a covered porch, a stage, and a green room round out the barn's comprehensive functional infrastructure.

Bridal party suite
The Bridal Suite
A luxuriously appointed getting-ready space designed with a silver-toned, minimalist aesthetic that creates a clean, elegant backdrop for bridal preparation photography. Three separate rooms — each with a floor-length mirror — provide organized individual stations for the bridal party that eliminate the visual chaos of getting-ready coverage in crowded or poorly lit spaces. A large private restroom with multiple sinks and mirrors, a tall hanging dress rack, and a comfortable lounge seating area complete a suite that functions as both a practical preparation space and a genuinely beautiful portrait environment. The large windows provide natural light that complements the silver and neutral palette throughout.

Groom & wedding party
The Groom's Hunting Lodge
A 1,200-square-foot masculine counterpart to the Bridal Suite — a rustic, lodge-inspired space with exposed brick, wooden accents, comfortable seating, a kitchenette for beverages and snacks, a full private bathroom, and access to a large covered outdoor pavilion. The lodge's character contrast with the Bridal Suite gives the gallery two completely different getting-ready environments, both photographically interesting and genuinely comfortable for the parties preparing in them. Access to the estate's skeet shooting range makes the lodge an ideal base for a groomsmen morning activity — and the experience produces genuinely candid, energetic portrait content that is entirely unlike standard getting-ready coverage.

Cocktail hour & outdoor gathering
The Covered Patio & Open Lawn
A covered outdoor patio adjacent to the barn provides a weather-sheltered cocktail hour and overflow reception space with views of the surrounding farm landscape. The open lawn beyond is ideal for lawn games, lounge areas, and the kind of relaxed outdoor gathering that the estate's scale naturally encourages. For photographers, the covered patio provides an indoor-outdoor threshold portrait environment with the farm's open fields and mature trees in the background — one of the most naturalistic and unposed candid coverage environments on the property.
Why Photographers Love This Venue
Adaumont Farm is exceptional for wedding photography because it offers something that truly cannot be designed or manufactured: a genuinely working farm with 500 acres of natural landscape that has developed its own visual character organically over decades. The covered bridge exists because it was built to cross the creek, not to create portrait opportunities — and that authenticity shows in every image made at it. The horses and Black Angus cattle roam because they live here, not because they were brought in for atmosphere. The mature trees frame the lake because they have been growing for generations. All of it photographs with the depth and authenticity that only comes from a place that is genuinely itself.
The barn presents a specific and well-documented photographic consideration: the warm, dark interior created by the wooden paneling and original structure can be challenging for photographers who rely solely on natural light. The antique chandeliers and white drapery help significantly — but experienced photographers bring additional lighting tools to ensure the barn's interior is as well-lit as its exterior is luminous. This is a venue that rewards photographers who prepare for it, and the results when it is photographed well are consistently among the most beautiful barn reception images available at any Triad venue.
Outside, the open 500-acre landscape produces golden hour portrait conditions that are simply unavailable at smaller or urban venues. The combination of the rolling fields, the roaming farm animals, the Wheatmore Pond reflection, and the covered bridge's wooded intimacy gives photographers a genuinely diverse and rich portrait palette from a single property — the kind of visual variety that defines the best wedding galleries.

The covered bridge first look is the portrait priority at every Adaumont Farm wedding we photograph. Protecting 20–30 minutes at the bridge early in the day — before the ceremony, during the window when the light is soft and the schedule is not yet compressed — consistently produces the gallery's most distinctive and emotionally resonant images. Couples who see their covered bridge portraits for the first time almost universally react the same way: they were not expecting that, and they immediately know those are their favorite photographs.
Brian Anthony Photography at Adaumont Farm
Farm venues with genuine working character reward photographers who understand how to read a natural landscape and use it without imposing upon it. Adaumont Farm is a venue where the setting provides more than enough — the covered bridge, the lake, the rolling fields, the horses, the chandeliers — and the photographer's job is to understand each element well enough to use it at the right moment rather than force any particular shot.
With over 1,000 weddings photographed and filmed, our approach is rooted in documentary storytelling — capturing authentic moments as they naturally unfold while building the intentional portrait work that takes full advantage of what the estate offers. At Adaumont Farm, that means protecting the covered bridge during the first look window, using the Wheatmore Pond for ceremony and golden hour coverage, and bringing the additional lighting infrastructure needed to do justice to the barn's warm, chandeliered interior.
For couples getting married at Adaumont Farm, we build a custom wedding day timeline around the estate's specific spaces, the seasonal light conditions across the 500 acres, and your guest count — ensuring you experience every remarkable photographic environment the farm offers without being rushed between them.
